No agreement on ceasefire in Alaska Summit
Trump and Putin held a meeting in Alaska on August 15. Both of them held closed-door talks for about 3 hours regarding the Ukraine war. However, ceasefire was not announced even after the meeting. After the meeting, both the leaders held a press conference in which they did not answer any questions of the journalists. Trump said that the talks were positive. There was no agreement on some issues. However, it was not told on which points there was agreement between them. After the meeting, Trump wrote on Truth Social, everyone has decided that the best way to end the Russia-Ukraine war is to go straight to a peace agreement. Just a ceasefire is often not successful.
